...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 630 PM CDT
FOR THOMAS...NORTHERN LOGAN...NORTHWESTERN SHERIDAN AND SOUTHEASTERN
RAWLINS COUNTIES...

At 541 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 4 miles east of
Colby, moving northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Trained weather spotters reported half dollar size hail in
         Colby.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
         damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
         damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

This severe storm will be near...
  Gem around 545 PM CDT.

Other locations impacted by this severe thunderstorm include Mingo
and Halford.

This includes Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 49 and 75.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for northwestern
and west central Kansas.

building.
