...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 715 PM EDT
FOR EASTERN CALDWELL AND EAST CENTRAL BURKE COUNTIES...

At 640 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 6 miles west of
Boomer, or near Elkville, moving northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.

Locations impacted include...
Sawmills, Granite Falls, Hudson, Icard, Hildebran, Connelly Springs,
Rhodhiss, Cedar Rock, Hickory Regional Airport, and Lake Hickory.
