...A HIGH WIND WARNING IS IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM PDT SATURDAY AFTERNOON
UNTIL 11 PM PDT SUNDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Sustained west winds 35 to 45 mph, with gusts near 65 mph
  expected.

* WHERE...Mojave Desert Slopes.

* WHEN...From 2 PM PDT Saturday afternoon until 11 PM PDT Sunday
  evening.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds may blow down tree branches. Blowing dust
  will reduce visibilities at times. Travel will be difficult,
  particularly for high profile vehicles.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Highways affected include but are not limited
  to Highway 14, Highway 178 below Walker Pass, and Highway 58 below
  Tehachapi Pass, including the town of Mojave.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Secure outdoor items, such as patio furniture, sports equipment, and
trash cans prior to the onset of high winds. Even the most common
objects become dangerous projectiles when picked up and carried by
high winds. Remain in the lower levels of your home during the
windstorm, and avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree
limbs. Use caution if you must drive.

  will be difficult, particularly for high profile vehicles.
