Florida Bay, Hawk Channel and Straits of Florida from Ocean Reef
to south of Dry Tortugas, and the extreme southeastern Gulf of
Mexico, including The Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary
Seas are given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for Keys coastal waters from Ocean Reef to Dry Tortugas

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure centered near Bermuda will maintain
moderate to fresh southeast breezes across the Florida Keys this
morning, with strong breezes in the eastern waters. Breezes will
then slacken through the afternoon and veer to the south ahead of
a weak front that is progged to push through the Florida Keys
coastal waters by late tonight. In the wake of the front, breezes
will shift to the northeast to east as another high pressure
system moves across the Southeast and into the western North
Atlantic. Breezes will slacken through Sunday night then gradually
freshen beginning Monday.
The Approximate Shoreward Edge of the Gulf Stream is currently
unavailable.
