...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN CAMERON...JEFFERSON
DAVIS AND EASTERN CALCASIEU PARISHES THROUGH 1130 AM CDT...

At 1044 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Holmwood, or near Iowa, moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Lake Charles, Welsh, Iowa, Fenton, Hayes, Moss Bluff, Buller,
Hacketts Corner, Topsy, Lebleu Settlement, Pine Island, Thornwell,
Lowry, Holmwood, Bell City, Roanoke, and Lacassine.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 33 and 60.
 Interstate 210 between mile markers 9 and 12.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
