...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1000 AM CDT...

For the following areas...

  Open Waters from Winthrop Harbor to Michigan City out to Mid
Lake...

At 903 AM CDT, a line of showers were located along a line extending
from 23 nm east of Winthrop Harbor to 24 nm northeast of Wilmette
Harbor to 8 nm northeast of Jackson Park Harbor, moving northeast at
30 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts to nearly 50 knots.

SOURCE...Radar indicated and automated observations. A wind gust of
         48 knots was measured at the Chicago Harrison Dever Crib
         with the line of showers.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
         suddenly higher waves.

Showers will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.
