...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 100 AM CDT
FOR SOUTHEASTERN CRAIGHEAD...NORTHEASTERN POINSETT AND NORTHWESTERN
MISSISSIPPI COUNTIES...
At 1245 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Monette,
moving east at 55 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Jonesboro, Osceola, Trumann, Manila, Lake City, Leachville, Bay,
Monette, Caraway, Little River, Etowah, Black Oak, Victoria, Jolliff
Store, Delfore, Eastview, Lennie, Vail, Carmi, and Gum Point.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 300 AM CDT for eastern
Arkansas...and southeastern Missouri.
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
storm shelter or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
