...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM EDT
FOR EASTERN SAMPSON COUNTY...

At 721 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Mount Olive to 8 miles west of Rose Hill to 8
miles west of Harrells, moving east at 55 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Harrells, Turkey, and Ivanhoe.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Straight line winds can blow down trees, power lines, and damage
mobile homes and other buildings. Seek shelter in a sturdy structure
until the storm has passed. Stay away from windows as flying debris
generated by damaging winds can be deadly.

This is a DANGEROUS SITUATION. These storms have produced widespread
wind damage across the NC Sandhills. SEEK SHELTER NOW inside a
sturdy structure and stay away from windows.
