Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NE Wyoming and WRN South Dakota
National Weather Service Rapid City SD
248 AM MDT Thu May 2 2024

.DISCUSSION...Cool and unsettled weather will continue through Friday
with a daily chance of showers. It will be breezy today with minimum
relative humidity of 15 to 30 percent. The combination of low relative
and gusty winds will result in elevated fire weather conditions for parts
of northeastern Wyoming and far southwestern South Dakota depending on
the fuels.

Warmer temperatures are expected for weekend with the arrival of an upper
level ridge. Precipitation chances will increase again by Sunday afternoon,
with gusty southerly winds expected for much of the area. A strong storm
system may bring wet and windy conditions for early next week.
