THUNDERSTORMS ARE FORECAST TO AFFECT THE REGION AGAIN WEDNESDAY
NIGHT INTO THURSDAY MORNING BRINGING THE POTENTIAL FOR WIDESPREAD
RAINFALL AMOUNTS IN EXCESS OF AN INCH...WITH LOCALIZED TOTALS IN
EXCESS OF THREE INCHES ARE POSSIBLE.

MANY AREAS REMAIN SATURATED AND MANY RIVERS REMAIN IN FLOOD...IN
PARTICULAR IN THE KANKAKEE...ILLINOIS...AND IROQUOIS BASINS. IF
HEAVY RAINFALL MATERIALIZES AS FORECAST...THEN RENEWED RISES WOULD
LIKELY OCCUR ON THESE RIVERS WITH ADDITIONAL MODERATE TO
POTENTIALLY MAJOR FLOODING POSSIBLE.

IN ADDITION TO RIVER FLOODING...VERY HEAVY RAINFALL RATES COULD
ALSO RESULT IN AREAS OF FLASH FLOODING...PARTICULARLY IF HEAVY
RAINFALL OCCURS IN REGIONS THAT HAVE SEEN HEAVY RAINFALL MOST
RECENTLY.

PERSONS IN LOW LYING AND FLOOD PRONE AREAS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED
TO MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND STATEMENTS ON THIS DEVELOPING
WEATHER SITUATION.
