...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 115 AM MDT FOR
NORTHERN SAN JUAN COUNTY...

AT 1141 PM MDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING
HEAVY RAIN ACROSS THE WARNED AREA. UP TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN HAS
ALREADY FALLEN. FLASH FLOODING OF NORMALLY DRY ARROYOS AND CANYONS
IS POSSIBLE.

FLASH FLOODING WILL REMAIN OVER CENTRAL PORTIONS OF CANYONLANDS
NATIONAL PARK.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING.

REMAIN ALERT FOR FLOODING EVEN IN LOCATIONS NOT RECEIVING RAIN.
ARROYOS...STREAMS AND RIVERS CAN BECOME RAGING KILLERS IN A MATTER OF
MINUTES...EVEN FROM DISTANT RAINFALL.
