...THE FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1030 PM CDT FRIDAY FOR
SOUTHWESTERN DAWSON COUNTY...

MINOR FLOODING WILL CONTINUE ALONG THE PLATTE RIVER ACROSS A LARGE
SECTION OF DAWSON COUNTY THROUGH EARLY NEXT WEEK. A FLOOD ADVISORY
REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH AT LEAST FRIDAY NIGHT FOR AREAS ADJACENT
TO THE RIVER WHICH MAY BE IMPACTED BY HIGH WATER.

* UPSTREAM AT BRADY...THE RIVER STAGE THURSDAY MORNING WAS 8.66
  FEET. FLOOD STAGE AT BRADY IS 7.5 FEET. THE RIVER IS FORECAST TO
  MAKE A SECOND CREST AROUND 8.8 FEET LATE TONIGHT OR FRIDAY
  MORNING. IT WILL FALL SLIGHTLY THEREAFTER BUT REMAIN WELL ABOVE
  FLOOD STAGE INTO NEXT WEEK.

* AT COZAD...THE STAGE OF THE RIVER THURSDAY MORNING WAS 6.4 FEET.
  FLOOD STAGE AT COZAD IS 6.5 FEET. THE RIVER IS FORECAST TO CREST
  AROUND 6.6 FEET FRIDAY...AND THEN FLUCTUATE AROUND THE FLOOD STAGE
  INTO THE FIRST WEEK OF JUNE. A FLOOD WARNING HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR
  THE COZAD GAUGE SITE AREA.

* FLOODING ALONG LOW LYING AREAS WILL LIKELY CONTINUE INTO EARLY
  NEXT MONTH. THOSE WITH PROPERTY INVESTMENTS ALONG THE RIVER SHOULD
  TAKE MEASURES TO PROTECT THEIR INVESTMENT.

* THESE FORECASTS ARE BASED LARGELY ON WATER ALREADY IN THE PLATTE
  RIVER BASIN. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL IN THE BASIN WILL RESULT IN
  CHANGES TO ANTICIPATED STAGES AND TIMING OF CRESTS OR FALLS.
  ALWAYS CHECK RIVER STAGES AND FORECASTS DAILY AT A MINIMUM TO
  REMAIN INFORMED OF THE SITUATION.
