FLOOD STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MORRISTOWN, TENNESSEE

With widespread appreciable precipitation over...the Sequatchie river
river near Whitwell is not expected to rise above the flood stage
of 14.0 feet...and will continue to drop over the course of the evening
and night.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Most deaths in floods occur in automobiles. If you come to a closed
or flooded road, Turn Around! Don`t Drown! For more details, stay
tuned to NOAA Weather Radio or commercial television or radio
stations that carry weather information.
