Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southern New England
National Weather Service Taunton MA
414 AM EDT Sun Sep 24 2017

.DISCUSSION...
High pressure will build into the area today. Today`s temperatures
will soar way above normal and approach 90 in some interior
locations. Minimum relative humidities for today will be 40 to 50
percent across the interior, 50 to 60 percent along the
Massachusetts east coast and coastal Rhode Island, and generally
70 to 80 percent across the Cape and islands.

OUTLOOK...Monday through Friday...

High pressure extending from the Great Lakes will provide more
dry weather and much above normal temperatures for Monday and
Tuesday. A cold front dropping south from Canada could bring
scattered showers for mid week and then usher in cooler
temperatures for the end of the week. After passing close to the
North Carolina Outer Banks, Hurricane Maria is expected to recurve
out to sea well southeast of New England late in the week.
