Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
356 AM EST Tue Dec 12 2017

.DISCUSSION...
A dry cold front will move through the region late
this morning...around 10 am to 11 am. Southwest winds around
10 mph will shift to west-northwest and increase to 15 to 20 mph
with frequent gusts 20 to 25 mph. Higher gusts possible late
this afternoon and early evening as a cooler air mass
builds over the area. The air mass remains dry and
the minimum RH this afternoon will be 35 to 40 percent.
Excellent dispersion tonight as mixing continues. The RH
will be lower on Wednesday as pressure ridge builds over the
area...but the winds will be lower. The air mass will
moderate on Thursday.
