FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHERN ALABAMA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HUNTSVILLE AL
225 PM CST SUN JAN 25 2015

.DISCUSSION...
A CLIPPER SYSTEM APPROACHING THE OHIO VALLEY WILL BRING
INCREASED CLOUDS...AND A GOOD CHANCE OF SHOWERS...AND A FEW
THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS NORTHERN ALABAMA THIS EVENING. GUSTY
WINDS...SMALL HAIL...AND LIGHTNING COULD ACCOMPANY SOME OF
THE STORMS. COLDER AIR SWEEPING INTO THE REGION AS THE SYSTEM
PASSES EAST OF THE REGION LATE TONIGHT...COULD RESULT IN RAIN
MIXING WITH...OR BRIEFLY BECOMING ALL SNOW LATE TONIGHT AND
EARLY MONDAY MORNING. A LIGHT DUSTING OF SNOW IS POSSIBLE...
MAINLY IN ELEVATIONS ABOVE 1000 FEET. WETTING PRECIPITATION
SHOULD OTHERWISE END SHORTLY AFTER DAYBREAK. CLOUDS SHOULD
SLOWLY DIMINISH MONDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING.

MIXING HEIGHTS AROUND 3000 FEET AND TRANSPORT WINDS FROM THE
NORTHWEST 20-25 MPH SHOULD PRODUCE GENERALLY GOOD MIXING AND
DISPERSION ON MONDAY. GOOD TO GENERALLY GOOD DISPERSION RATES
ARE FORECAST FOR TUESDAY. DRY WEATHER SHOULD CONTINUE THROUGH
THE MIDWEEK.
