Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Northern Alabama

.DISCUSSION...

Showers and thunderstorms will continue to move east overnight and
should be out of NE AL by noon. Dry weather should then return for
the rest of today and through Friday morning. Isolated
thunderstorms return Friday afternoon and remain in the forecast
through Saturday night. More widespread thunderstorms are expected
Sunday into Sunday.

Winds today will be around 5-10 mph out of the west-northwest
today and decreasing to light and variable overnight. Winds
increase again on Friday, from the south, with gusts of 15 to 20
mph possible. Good mixing will occur today and Friday with mixing
heights reaching over 3500-4000ft each day. Patchy fog is possible
tonight into Friday morning.

Red Flag Conditions are not expected over the next few days.
