Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
319 PM CDT Sun Oct 22 2017

.DISCUSSION...

Rain & storm chances are finally dwindling down as the cold front
approaches the area. Expect drier conditions to move in from the
west as the front passes through the area late this evening into
overnight tonight. Expect drier & noticeably cooler conditions in
the wake. Another dry cold front is expected to move into the
area on Tuesday. Even with some rainfall recently in the ArkLaMiss
Delta, soils are still pretty dry. Gusty winds & critical
relative humidities less than 30% are possible, bringing
increasing fire danger across the ArkLaMiss Delta & western fire
districts. This could persist into mid-week but winds will lighten
by that timeframe.
