FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR EXTREME SOUTHEAST ARKANSAS...
NORTHEAST LOUISIANA...AND CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE JACKSON MS
337 PM CDT FRI MAY 27 2016

.DISCUSSION...NO SIGNIFICANT FOG ISSUES ARE EXPECTED SATURDAY OR
SUNDAY MORNING. WEAKENED HIGH PRESSURE SURFACE AND ALOFT WILL
CONTINUE TO LIMIT CONVECTION OVER EAST MISSISSIPPI THROUGH SATURDAY
BUT AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH TO THE NORTHWEST WILL COMBINE WITH A MOIST
AIR MASS TO RESULT IN RAIN CHANCES OVER THE WESTERN HALF OF THE AREA
TONIGHT AND SATURDAY. DRIER WEATHER IS EXPECTED SATURDAY NIGHT AS THE
UPPER LEVEL TROUGH MOVES WELL NORTH OF OUR REGION. A MOIST AIR MASS
WILL REMAIN OVER OUR REGION AND LEAD TO MAINLY DIURNALLY DRIVEN RAIN
CHANCES THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK. A WEAK FRONTAL BOUNDARY AND
AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH OVER THE REGION LOOK TO PRODUCE A PERIOD OF
DISTURBED WEATHER FOR THE LATER HALF OF NEXT WEEK AND A CLOSED UPPER
LEVEL LOW MAY MAINTAIN RAIN CHANCES THROUGH THE WEEKEND.
