FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR THE SOUTH PLAINS REGION
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LUBBOCK TX
327 PM CDT SAT MAR 28 2015

.DISCUSSION...
VERY WARM AND DRY CONDITIONS THIS EVENING WILL REMAIN BUT WINDS SHOULD
STAY FAIRLY LIGHT. A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL WEDGE SOUTHWARD SUNDAY
BRINGING STIFF NORTH TO NORTHEASTERLY BREEZES...BUT ALSO COOL ENOUGH
TEMPERATURES TO KEEP FIRE DANGER MOSTLY AT BAY. AN EXCEPTION TO THIS
STILL COULD BE IN THE SOUTHERN PART OF THE ROLLING PLAINS WHERE VERY
WARM TEMPERATURES COULD LEAD TO A PERIOD OF ELEVATED FIRE DANGER
SUNDAY AFTERNOON. COOLER AND MORE MOIST CONDITIONS WILL FOLLOW MONDAY
AND TUESDAY...ALONG WITH A LOW CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS BY TUESDAY.
DRY...WARM...AND BREEZY CONDITIONS MAY LEAD TO ELEVATED FIRE DANGER
BY WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY.
