Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
740 AM MST Mon Dec 18 2017

.Discussion...

Look for dry and warming conditions across the district today
through Wednesday, with increasing winds producing near critical
fire weather conditions across the eastern plains and Interstate
25 corridor Wednesday afternoon.

An upper level system will sweep across the Rockies starting
Wednesday night, bringing snow and cold air to the state through
Saturday. A secondary push of cold air will usher in frigid
temperatures Saturday and Sunday.

Ventilation rates are expected to remain poor for most locations
across the district today due to very light transport winds,
though smoke dispersion along the southern Colorado border will
improve to fair to even good between 1200 and 1700.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
