FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR SOUTHERN/CENTRAL MO AND SE KS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SPRINGFIELD MO
209 PM CDT WED APR 23 2014

.DISCUSSION...

MOISTURE WILL INCREASE TONIGHT ACROSS THE REGION AS A FAST MOVING
STORM SYSTEM APPROACHES FROM THE WEST. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL
BEGIN TO OVERSPREAD WESTERN MISSOURI AND SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS BY

WETTING RAINFALL TO THE REGION BEFORE PRECIPITATION ENDS THURSDAY
EVENING.

WARM AND DRY CONDITIONS WILL RETURN ON FRIDAY...WITH BREEZY SOUTHWEST
WINDS EXPECTED BY THE AFTERNOON HOURS. HIGHER DEWPOINTS WILL BEGIN
TO FILTER INTO THE AREA SATURDAY AS A WARM FRONT MOVES THROUGH...AHEAD
OF A LARGE STORM SYSTEM THAT WILL IMPACT THE REGION EARLY NEXT WEEK.
