...DISCUSSION FROM RNOFWFVEF...

STRONG, SOUTHWEST WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP IN A BAND STRETCHING
FROM SAN BERNARDINO TO MOHAVE COUNTIES TODAY AHEAD OF AN APPROACHING
COLD FRONT. COLD FRONT WILL PUSH ACROSS THE SOUTHERN GREAT BASIN
TODAY WITH POST-FRONTAL, NORTH WINDS BECOMING GUSTY. FRONT WILL EXIT
THE AREA TO THE SOUTH TONIGHT AS WINDS SHIFT TO THE NORTH AND
DECREASE ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA LATE TONIGHT INTO TOMORROW. THE
EXCEPTION WILL BE DOWN THE COLORADO RIVER VALLEY WHERE GUSTY,
NORTHERLY WINDS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE WEEKEND. THESE WINDS
COMBINED WITH A DRIER AIRMASS NOW IN PLACE COULD CREATE CRITICAL
FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ALONG THE RIVER ON SATURDAY.

...DISCUSSION FROM LAXFWFSGX...

A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE WILL MOVE THROUGH THE WEST COAST FRIDAY.
THIS WILL RESULT IN A COOLING TREND THROUGH FRIDAY, WITH A DEEP
MARINE LAYER BRINGING STRATUS WITH DRIZZLE OR LIGHT SHOWERS LATE
TONIGHT AND FRIDAY FROM THE COASTAL MOUNTAIN SLOPES WEST TO THE
COAST. A SANTA ANA WIND WILL DEVELOP THIS WEEKEND AND CONTINUE
EARLY NEXT WEEK AND BRING HOT DRY WEATHER ALONG WITH OCCASIONAL
GUSTY WINDS ESPECIALLY THROUGH AND BELOW PASSES AND CANYONS. LOCAL
GUSTS COULD EXCEED 50 MPH, MAINLY SATURDAY MORNING AND AGAIN TUESDAY
MORNING. MINIMUM HUMIDITY OF 10 PERCENT WILL OCCUR SATURDAY AND
SUNDAY OVER INLAND AREAS, AND 5 TO 10 PERCENT MONDAY AND TUESDAY
OVER MOST AREAS. A SLOW COOLING TREND WILL OCCUR WEDNESDAY AND
THURSDAY OF NEXT WEEK.

...DISCUSSION FROM PHXFWFPSR...

A WEATHER SYSTEM MOVING THROUGH THE WESTERN STATES WILL LEAD TO A
COOLING TREND THE NEXT COUPLE DAYS. BREEZY TO WINDY CONDITIONS
DEVELOP IN SOUTHEAST CALIFORNIA TONIGHT AND EXPAND EASTWARD FRIDAY.
NORTHERLY BREEZINESS CAN BE EXPECTED FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST
CALIFORNIA AND SOUTHWEST ARIZONA ON SATURDAY. HUMIDITIES WILL TREND
UPWARD THROUGH FRIDAY BEFORE DROPPING OFF SHARPLY BY SATURDAY.
