...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM PDT THIS EVENING...

.DISCUSSION...Very hot and dry conditions are expected this afternoon
with gusty southwest winds shifting to the west during the late
afternoon to early evening hours. Winds are expected to gust between
25 to 30 mph in the vicinity of the fire...strongest over the
surrounding ridges. Winds will diminish quickly during the evening
hours...falling below 10 mph by 1900 to 2000 hours. Afternoon
humidity values will be very low...in the single digits to lower
teens...with poor overnight recoveries.

A cooling trend is expected as a weak trough approaches the West
Coast...pushing the upper ridge eastward. Daytime highs are expected
to drop about 5 degrees compared to Sunday`s high...and will be near
100 degrees. Minimum humidities will remain low Monday afternoon.
Southwest winds are likely to increase slightly with gusts up to 35
mph over the ridges...and slope winds around 30 mph.

Min temperature.....67-71 degrees.
Max humidity........35-40 percent.
Eye level winds.....Southwest to west winds 5 to 10 mph with gusts
to 10 to 15 mph until 2000 hours shifting to the
                    north 2 to 5 mph.

 Slope/valley.......Southwest to west winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts
to 25 mph until 2000 hours shifting to the
                    north 5 to 10 mph.
