.DISCUSSION...A very strong system will move across the region today.
There will be a continued threat for showers and afternoon thunderstorms
ahead of a cold front this afternoon. Strong winds are expected to
develop today with sustained winds around 30 mph and the potential for
wind gusts to reach well over 50 mph, especially around fast moving
thunderstorms. After the front passes, winds are expected to remain
breezy overnight and into Wednesday. Temperatures will drop snow
levels to the valley floor, but accumulations after the front should
stay light. Unsettled and cool conditions will continue will continue
through mid week with a continued threat for snow showers and light
accumulations.

                    thunderstorms.
