NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT...

A LARGE WEST TO NORTHWEST SWELL GENERATED BY A STORM SYSTEM IN
GULF OF ALASKA WILL BUILD ACROSS THE COASTAL WATERS BETWEEN FRIDAY
EVENING AND SATURDAY MORNING. THIS SWELL MAY CREATE DANGEROUS
BREAKING WAVES AT THE MORRO BAY AND VENTURA HARBOR ENTRANCES THIS
WEEKEND. THESE CONDITIONS HAVE A HISTORY OF CAPSIZING VESSELS OF
VARIOUS SIZES RESULTING IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH EVEN TO THE
MOST EXPERIENCED MARINERS.

MARINERS ARE ADVISED TO REMAIN IN SAFE HARBOR OR AVOID HARBOR
ENTRANCES UNTIL SEA CONDITIONS IMPROVE. PRIOR TO ENTERING HARBOR
ENTRANCES...IT IS ADVISED TO CONTACT LOCAL AUTHORITIES FOR THE
LATEST WEATHER AND SEA CONDITIONS FOR SAFE PASSING. FOR THE
LATEST INFORMATION...CONTINUE TO MONITOR NOAA WEATHER RADIO FOR
THE LATEST WEATHER INFORMATION.
