COASTAL WATERS OF PUERTO RICO AND THE USVI...

AT 920 PM AST...THE DOPPLER RADAR AND SATELLITE IMAGES CONTINUED TO
INDICATED STRONG THUNDERSTORMS...CAPABLE OF PRODUCING WINDS TO 30
KNOTS OR GREATER ACROSS THE LOCAL WATERS. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING
WEST NORTHWEST AT AROUND 15 KNOTS. ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORM
DEVELOPMENT IS EXPECTED DURING THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS TO 30 KNOTS OR GREATER...LOCALLY
HIGHER WAVES...AND LIGHTNING STRIKES. BOATERS SHOULD SEEK SAFE
HARBOR IMMEDIATELY UNTIL THIS STORM PASSES.

INTENSE LIGHTNING IS OCCURRING WITH THIS STORM. IF CAUGHT ON THE
OPEN WATER STAY BELOW DECK IF POSSIBLE...KEEP AWAY FROM UNGROUNDED
METAL OBJECTS.
