...MODERATE TO STRONG ONSHORE FLOW WILL DEVELOP OVER THE SOUTHERN
BAYS AND NEAR-SHORE WATERS OF THE MIDDLE TEXAS COAST THIS AFTERNOON...

.A STRONG THERMAL GRADIENT BETWEEN COASTAL AND INLAND LOCATIONS
WILL AID IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF STRONG SOUTHEAST WINDS FROM THE
MIDDLE OF THE AFTERNOON AND INTO THE EVENING HOURS. THE STRONGEST
WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO OCCUR ACROSS THE SOUTHERN BAYS AND ADJACENT
NEAR SHORE WATERS.

* WINDS AND WAVES: SOUTHEAST WIND AROUND 20 KNOTS WITH GUSTS
  BETWEEN 25 AND 30 KNOTS. BAY WATERS WILL BECOME CHOPPY TO
  OCCASIONALLY ROUGH. WAVE HEIGHTS WILL RISE TO 3 TO 5 FEET
  ACROSS THE NEAR SHORE WATERS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY MEANS THAT WIND SPEEDS OF 20 TO 33 KNOTS
AND/OR SEAS OF 7 FEET OR GREATER ARE EXPECTED TO PRODUCE
HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS TO SMALL CRAFT. INEXPERIENCED MARINERS...
ESPECIALLY THOSE OPERATING SMALLER VESSELS SHOULD AVOID
NAVIGATING IN THESE CONDITIONS. MARINERS SHOULD PAY CLOSE
ATTENTION TO THE MARINE FORECAST...AND CONSIDER WIND AND SEA
CONDITIONS IN PLANNING.
