...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM PST MONDAY...

* TIMING...High west winds will continue over the central and
  southern parts of the Owens Valley and adjacent Sierra slopes
  then will decrease somewhat after midnight and early Monday
  morning.

* WINDS...In the Owens Valley, west 20 to 30 MPH, gusts 35 to 55
  MPH, with occasional gusts in excess of 60 MPH possible,
  followed by north winds 20 to 30 MPH with gusts around 40 MPH
  tonight and Monday. In the Sierra, west 40 to 50 MPH with gusts
  60 to 80 mph until after midnight.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will create hazardous driving
  conditions due to gusty crosswinds and areas of blowing dust,
  especially between Independence and Ridgecrest along Highway
  395. High profile vehicles may be overturned due to wind.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use extreme caution if traveling in the southern Sierra or
through the Owens Valley tonight. Motorists should check road and
weather conditions and restrictions before traveling through the
area. Be prepared for sudden, strong crosswinds and areas of
reduced visibility.

* TIMING...Strong winds will persist until after midnight then decrease
  early Monday morning.

* WINDS...For the Las Vegas Valley, southwest winds 25 to 35 MPH
  with gusts 40 to 50 MPH. The western and southern edges of the
  valley could see gusts to 65 MPH tonight. For the Spring
  Mountains and Red Rock Canyon, southwest winds 35 to 45 MPH with
  gusts 55 to 70 MPH.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will create hazardous driving
  conditions due to gusty crosswinds and areas of blowing dust.
  Temporary structures and fences will be damaged or destroyed.
  Loose or unsecured objects will be displaced. Power outages
  will be possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use extreme caution if traveling across the Las Vegas Valley,
particularly along the western or southern edges or near Red Rock
Canyon this evening. Be prepared for sudden, strong crosswinds
and areas of reduced visibility.

* TIMING...Strong winds will continue tonight into Monday morning, then
  decrease Monday afternoon.

* WINDS...Southwest 30 to 40 MPH with gusts 45 to 55 MPH. Areas of
  gusts in excess of 60 MPH possible.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will create hazardous driving
  conditions due to gusty crosswinds and areas of blowing dust,
  especially between Cajon Pass and Baker along Interstate 15,
  near Barstow on Interstate 40, and on Highway 395 north of
  Kramer Junction. High profile vehicles may be overturned due
  to wind.

Use extreme caution if traveling across San Bernardino County
today into Monday. Motorists should check road and weather
