...VERY HIGH FIRE DANGER TODAY ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA...

...CONDITIONS APPROACHING RED FLAG FOR AREAS NORTHWEST OF TULSA...

OUTDOOR BURNING IS NOT RECOMMENDED TODAY. AVOID ACTIVITIES THAT
MAY CAUSE INADVERTENT FIRE STARTS. REPORT SMOKE OR FIRE TO YOUR
LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENT.

FIRE WEATHER CONCERNS WILL INCREASE TODAY AS SOUTHERLY WINDS INCREASE
AND GUST TO AROUND 40 MILES AN HOUR. HUMIDITY LEVELS WILL FALL TO
BETWEEN 25 AND 30 PERCENT ACROSS PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA...
GENERALLY NORTH OF INTERSTATE 44 AND WEST OF HIGHWAY 75. RECENT DRY
CONDITIONS HAVE LEFT FUELS SUSCEPTIBLE TO EASIER FIRE STARTS
AND...WHEN COMBINED WITH THE WEATHER CONDITIONS...WILL SUPPORT
RAPID SPREAD POTENTIAL FOR ANY WILDFIRE.
