AFTER A MORNING OF VERY LIGHT SNOW, COLD TEMPERATURES AND OVERCAST
CONDITIONS, TEMPERATURES WERE ABLE TO WARM UP GENEROUSLY THIS
AFTERNOON. A BAND OF CLOUDS CONTINUED TO REMAIN OVER THE CENTRAL
HALF OF THE STATE THIS EVENING. HIGH TEMPERATURES THIS AFTERNOON
RANGED FROM THE LOWER 70S IN NORTHWESTERN KANSAS TO THE LOWER 50S IN
THE SOUTHEASTERN HALF OF THE STATE.

NORTHWESTERLY FLOW WILL PERSIST THROUGH SATURDAY AFTERNOON AS
RIDGING OVER THE INTERMOUNTAIN WEST MOVES FARTHER EAST INTO THE
CENTRAL ROCKIES. MEANWHILE, ANOTHER TROUGH WILL MOVE INTO THE
PACIFIC NORTHWEST OVERNIGHT. A SURFACE WARM FRONT WILL MOVE ACROSS
THE WESTERN PLAINS THIS EVENING AND BECOME NEARLY STATIONARY ACROSS
CENTRAL KANSAS BY SATURDAY AFTERNOON. DRY CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED
THROUGH THE WEEKEND WITH PLENTY OF SUNSHINE AND WARMER TEMPERATURES
FORECAST ON SATURDAY.

LOWS TONIGHT WILL RANGE FROM THE MID 30S IN SOUTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA
TO THE MID 40S IN THE EXTREME SOUTHWESTERN CORNER OF KANSAS. HIGHS
ON SATURDAY WILL RANGE FROM THE UPPER 60S IN SOUTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA
TO THE LOWER 80S IN THE OKLAHOMA PANHANDLE.
