...WINTRY PRECIPITATION POSSIBLE LATE TONIGHT OVER NORTH-CENTRAL
WISCONSIN...

Colder air will gradually filter into parts of north-central
Wisconsin tonight behind a low pressure system moving over the
central Great Lakes. With the passage of the low pressure, a
significant band of precipitation is expected to surge into the
area late tonight and linger into early Thursday. By that time,
the air will likely be cold enough to result in a mix of rain,
sleet, and freezing rain. The precipitation could even change to
snow for a time before diminishing Thursday morning.

The mixed wintry precipitation could result in hazardous travel
conditions late tonight into early Thursday morning. Though the
exact temperatures late tonight will be critical in determining
the potential for icing on untreated roads, the most likely
scenario is for some minor ice and snow accumulations to occur on
grassy surfaces and elevated objects. Thursday morning commuters
and anyone with travel plans during that time should keep an eye
on later forecasts for updated information on the potential for
icy roads. A Winter Weather Advisory may be posted this evening if
it appears likely there will be enough wintry precipitation to
impact travel.
