...SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL...

AT 1255 PM CDT...SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE
OCCURRING ACROSS MUCH OF ASSUMPTION...ST. JAMES...ST. JOHN THE
BAPTIST AND THE UPPER PORTIONS OF TERREBONNE AND LAFOURCHE
PARISHES.

WHILE MOST AREAS WERE RECEIVING LESS THAN ONE HALF INCH OF
RAIN...ISOLATED AMOUNTS OF TWO INCHES OR MORE ARE POSSIBLE UNDER
THE STRONGER STORMS. THIS COULD PRODUCE TEMPORARY PONDING OF WATER
ON SOME ROADWAYS.
