WEATHER SYNOPSIS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PADUCAH KY
250 PM CDT SAT AUG 19 2017

DRY CONDITIONS WILL BE PRESENT THIS EVENING INTO THE MORNING HOURS
ON SUNDAY. THERE IS A SLIGHT CHANCE A FEW ISOLATED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS MAY POP UP TOMORROW AFTERNOON, PARTICULARLY ACROSS
SOUTHEAST MISSOURI AND SOUTHERN ILLINOIS. THESE WILL QUICKLY FADE
OUT BY EVENING LEAVING DRY CONDITIONS THROUGH MONDAY FOR MUCH OF
THE AREA. THERE STILL IS A SIGNAL FOR A FEW SCATTERED SHOWERS OR
THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS MAINLY WESTERN COUNTIES ON MONDAY. OTHERWISE,
THE MAIN ISSUE MOST WILL HAVE TO DEAL WITH IS POTENTIAL MID AND
HIGH CLOUD COVER STREAMING IN FROM RAIN OFF TO OUR NORTH AND WEST,
AS WELL AS CUMULUS CLOUDS DEVELOPING THROUGH THE DAY. RIGHT NOW
THE MOST IDEAL VIEWING SPOT LOOKS TO BE OVER THE SOUTHERN
PENNRYILE REGION OF WEST KENTUCKY WHICH IS WHERE THE HIGHEST
LIKELIHOOD OF CLEAR SKIES IS FORECAST. STAY TUNED TO LATER
FORECASTS AS WE ARE STILL NEARLY 48 HOURS OUT FROM THE ECLIPSE.

OTHERWISE THE BEST CHANCE OF RAIN COMES IN WITH A FRONTAL PASSAGE ON
TUESDAY INTO TUESDAY NIGHT, AND A FEW STRONG STORMS MAY EVEN BE
POSSIBLE. DRY CONDITIONS THEN TAKE OVER WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON
THROUGH THE END OF THE WEEK. HOT AND HUMID CONDITIONS WILL BE
PRESENT THROUGH MONDAY WITH HIGHS IN THE LOWER 90S COMMON BEFORE
WE DROP BELOW NORMAL, DOWN AROUND INTO THE UPPER 70S TO LOWER 80S
FOR HIGHS LATER IN THE WEEK.
