LATER TONIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY NIGHT...

.AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH TO THE NORTHWEST AND A WEAKENING STORM APPROACHING
NORTHERN BAJA CA WILL TRY AND MERGE WEDNESDAY AND BRING PORTIONS
OF NEW MEXICO SOME MORE SNOW LATE TONIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY NIGHT.
RATHER STRONG AND GUSTY NORTH AND NORTHEAST WINDS BEHIND THE FRONT
WILL CREATE BLOWING SNOW IN THE FAR NORTHEAST. ACCUMULATING SNOW
WILL LIKELY DEVELOP FARTHER TO THE SOUTH WEDNESDAY WITH ADDITIONAL
HEADLINES POSSIBLE.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT
TONIGHT TO MIDNIGHT MST WEDNESDAY NIGHT.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...1 TO 3 INCHES BELOW 7500 FEET AND 2 TO 5
  INCHES ABOVE 7500 FEET.

* TIMING...LIGHT SNOW WILL DEVELOP TONIGHT THEN INCREASE IN COVERAGE
  AFTER MIDNIGHT TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY BEFORE DIMINISHING
  EARLY WEDNESDAY NIGHT.

* WINDS...WILL BE MOSTLY LIGHT EXCEPT OVER THE RATON MESA...
  JOHNSON MESA AREA AND THE FAR NORTHEAST HIGHLANDS. THESE AREAS
  WILL HAVE NORTHEAST WINDS INCREASING TO 10 TO 20 MPH WITH
  HIGHER GUSTS. THIS WILL CREATE SOME BLOWING SNOW.

* SNOW LEVELS...TEMPERATURES WILL BE COLD ENOUGH FOR SNOW AT ALL
  LOCATIONS.

* LOCAL IMPACTS...DIFFICULT TRAVEL CONDITIONS WILL DEVELOP LATE
  TONIGHT AND CONTINUE INTO WEDNESDAY NIGHT DUE TO SNOW PACKED
  AND ICY ROADS. VISIBILITIES WILL BE REDUCED IN SNOW...AND
  FURTHER REDUCED IN BLOWING SNOW OVER EASTERN AREAS. THIS
  INCLUDES I 25 FROM WATROUS TO RATON PASS.

  FREEZING DRIZZLE IS ALSO POSSIBLE LATE TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY
  MORNING.

* TIMING...LIGHT SNOW AND/OR FREEZING DRIZZLE WILL DEVELOP TONIGHT
  THEN INCREASE IN COVERAGE LATE TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY BEFORE
  DIMINISHING EARLY WEDNESDAY NIGHT.

* WINDS...NORTH TO NORTHEAST AT 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 40
  MPH.

* SNOW LEVELS...TEMPERATURES WILL BE COLD ENOUGH FOR SNOW AT ALL
  LOCATIONS.

* LOCAL IMPACTS...DIFFICULT TRAVEL CONDITIONS WILL DEVELOP LATE
  TONIGHT AND CONTINUE INTO WEDNESDAY NIGHT DUE TO SNOW PACKED
  AND ICY ROADS. VISIBILITIES WILL BE REDUCED IN SNOW AND
  BLOWING SNOW CREATING NEAR WHITE OUT CONDITIONS ON OCCASION.
  U.S. HIGHWAYS 56...64 AND 87 WILL BE IMPACTED BY THE SNOW AND
  BLOWING SNOW.
