...WINTER STORM WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM MST FRIDAY...

* IMPACTS...Heavy snow and blowing snow will create reduced
  visibility and slick roads, creating hazardous driving
  conditions.

* TIMING...Heaviest snow forecast through Friday morning.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...Additional snow accumulations of 2 to 5
  inches.

* CONFIDENCE...Timing, medium to high. Amounts and location of
  heaviest snowfall, medium.

* LOCATIONS...Pocatello, American Falls, Fort Hall, Blackfoot.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A winter storm warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an
emergency. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and
water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

  conditions.

* TIMING...Heavy snow and blowing snow forecast this evening through
  Friday morning.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...Additional snow accumulations of 3 to 8
  inches, highest along the Interstate 86 corridor and southern
  mountains.

* CONFIDENCE...Timing, medium to high. Amounts and location of
  heaviest snowfall, medium.

* LOCATIONS...Burley, Rupert, Heyburn, Malad City, and Rockland.

The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow, which is in effect
until 6 AM MST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Heavy snow and blowing snow will create reduced
  visibility and slick roads, creating hazardous driving
  conditions.

* TIMING...Increasing this evening with occasional heavy snow late
  evening and overnight. Snow generally improving late Friday
  night.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...3 to 5 inches at valley floors with 6 to 10
  inches in the mountains.

* CONFIDENCE...Moderate to high on timing, moderate on snowfall
  amounts.

* LOCATIONS...Stanley, Clayton, St. Anthony, Ashton, Island Park,
  Driggs, Victor, Hailey, Ketchum, Bellevue, Arco, Challis,
  Mackay, Galena Pass.
