This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the counties served by the
National Weather Service office in Birmingham.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Light to moderate snow will impact central Alabama this morning,
mainly along and east of a line from Montgomery to Wedowee. New snow
accumulations through 8AM are forecast to be one half to one inch
along the I-85 corridor. With temperatures falling into the 20s
while the snow is falling, any accumulations will produce significant
impacts to travel.

Low temperatures in the single digits and teens this morning will
gradually warm above 15 degrees along and south of the I-20 corridor
by 10AM, and across extreme north central Alabama by Noon.

Hazardous wind chills are also expected areawide through 9AM,
falling into the single digits below zero across the north and into
the single digits above zero across the south.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Another hard freeze with temperatures falling into the teens is
expected Wednesday night into Thursday morning. A quicker warm up is
expected Thursday morning, with temperatures warming above 15
degrees by 8AM areawide.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Activation of storm spotters and emergency management will be
required through early Wednesday morning in southeast Central Alabama.
