THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE IS TRANSMITTED AT THE REQUEST OF THE
COLORADO AVALANCHE INFORMATION CENTER.

THE COLORADO AVALANCHE INFORMATION CENTER HAS ISSUED AN AVALANCHE
WATCH FOR THE FRONT RANGE, GORE RANGE AND TEN MILE RANGE.

* TIMING...IN EFFECT FROM 6AM  MST SATURDAY TO 5 PM SUNDAY

* AFFECTED AREA...FOR THE NORTHERN MOUNTAINS OF COLORADO
  INCLUDING...ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK...FRONT RANGE...GORE
  RANGE...TEN MILE RANGE AND NORTHERN CONTINENTAL DIVIDE

* AVALANCHE DANGER...THE AVALANCHE DANGER WILL INCREASE THROUGH
  SATURDAY NIGHT CREATING DANGEROUS AVALANCHE CONDITIONS. WIDESPREAD
  NATURAL AVALANCHE ACTIVITY IS POSSIBLE.

* REASON...A POTENT WINTER STORM ARRIVES SATURDAY AFTERNOON. PERIODS
  OF HEAVY SNOWFALL AND STRONG WINDS ARE EXPECTED. THIS SNOW WILL
  FALL ON AN ALREADY WEAK SNOWPACK.

* PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... BACKCOUNTRY TRAVELERS SHOULD
  PLAN ON RAPIDLY CHANGING CONDITIONS. EXTRA CAUTION IS REQUIRED IF
  PLANNING A TRIP INTO AVALANCHE TERRAIN. BACKCOUNTRY TRAVEL WILL
  BECOME VERY DANGEROUS.
