Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
534 AM MDT Mon May 29 2017

.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...There will be a little more
moisture and instability today, leading to scattered afternoon
showers and thunderstorms. The convection will be mainly over and
just east of the Front Range in the early to mid afternoon, then
move across the plains through early evening. Most of the showers
will only produce light rainfall, along with a brief period of
gusty winds. Light surface winds will inhibit smoke dispersal
today until thunderstorm outflow winds develop.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Tuesday through Friday...
Upper ridging will cover the forecast area much of Tuesday into
Thursday. a weakening upper trough will move across of Friday. The
best chances of showers and thunderstorms will be in the mountains
and foothills. Temperatures will warm to slightly above seasonal
normals.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
