FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHEAST AND NORTH CENTRAL
COLORADO
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DENVER/BOULDER CO
615 AM MST FRI MAR 06 2015

.DISCUSSION...TODAY AND TONIGHT...AN UPPER LEVEL RIDGE OVER THE WEST
COAST WITH SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE CENTRAL ROCKIES WILL BRING
WARMER TEMPERATURES TODAY. NORTHWEST FLOW ALOFT WILL BE
DECREASING...BUT THERE WILL STILL BE SOME WIND OVER THE HIGHER
MOUNTAINS AND ALONG THE NORTHERN COLORADO BORDER. WITH LIGHT WINDS
AND STABLE CONDITIONS IN THE LOWER ATMOSPHERE...MOST PLACES WILL
HAVE POOR SMOKE DISPERSAL...WITH FAIR DISPERSAL DEVELOPING IN THE
WINDIER AREAS.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...SATURDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...THERE WILL BE
A MODERATE NORTHWEST FLOW PATTERN OVER THE REGION THROUGH THE
WEEKEND. A BIT COOLER ON SUNDAY WITH A SLIGHT CHANCE OF SNOW SHOWERS
IN THE MOUNTAINS. THE RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD OVER
COLORADO TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY WITH MUCH WARMER TEMPERATURES ALONG
WITH DRY CONDITIONS.

...THUNDERSTORMS IMPLY STRONG GUSTY ERRATIC WINDS...
...ALL SURFACE WINDS ARE 20-FOOT...10-MINUTE AVERAGED WINDS...
...CWR IS CHANCE OF WETTING RAIN - 0.10 INCH OR MORE LIQUID...
...24 HR TRENDS ARE BASED ON AVERAGES OVER THE RESPECTIVE ZONE
GROUPS AND MAY NOT MATCH THE ACTUAL FORECAST VALUES
                     SHOWN IN THOSE GROUPS...
