FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHEAST AND NORTH CENTRAL
COLORADO
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DENVER/BOULDER CO
411 AM MST SAT FEB 18 2017

.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight... Mild southerly flow will occur
across the forecast area as a deep storm system moves into the
Desert Southwest. Southerly winds will increase on the plains this
afternoon, elevating fire danger. However, humidities will not reach
critical levels. In the mountains, enough mid and high level
moisture will bring isolated to scattered rain and snow showers.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Sunday through Wednesday...A storm system
will move quickly across the area Sunday afternoon and Sunday night.
This system will bring snow to the mountains with a chance of rain
showers across the plains. Temperatures will remain above normal
across northeast Colorado with gusty south winds in the afternoon.

For Monday through Wednesday Fire Danger will increase across
northeast Colorado due to well above normal temperatures, low
humidities and gusty winds at times. Over the higher terrain there
will be periods of gusty winds with only a slight chance of snow
showers.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                     shown in those groups...
