Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
412 AM MDT Wed Jul 26 2017

.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...Broad high pressure will remain
centered over Oklahoma and northern Texas with a resultant, moist
southwest flow over Colorado. Ample moisture will result in a good
chance for showers and thunderstorms over the mountains and east
slopes today, with lesser chances as you move east over the
plains. Temperatures will be cooler today in a post frontal regime
and more cloud cover.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Thursday through Sunday...Cooler
temperatures, light winds and more moisture will keep fire
weather concerns low through the period. Stronger storms will have
the potential for strong outflow winds still, especially Friday,
however minimum humidities should stay above 25 percent.
Dispersion will generally be poor to fair over the mountains, with
some areas of good to very good over the plains. Overall the high
pressure aloft and weak winds will keep it suppressed.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
