Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
540 AM MDT Wed Jun 21 2017

.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...Warm and dry air remains over
Colorado today. There will be a little more northwest flow aloft,
resulting in a bit more wind at the surface today. Isolated
thunderstorms are expected again in the late afternoon and
evening, with some dry lightning, gusty winds, and little rain.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Thursday through Sunday...
A weak cool front on Thursday will bring a better chance of
showers and thunderstorms, from the front range foothills eastward
across the plains. A stronger cold front on Friday will allow for
the cooler temperatures to continue across the plains through the
weekend. The best chance of thunderstorms by that time will be
over the higher terrain.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
