Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
421 AM MDT Tue Mar 21 2017

.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...Temperatures will be cooler with
higher humidity in areas east of the Front Range today, with less
change further west. With the additional moisture, scattered
showers and a few thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and
evening over the mountains. There will probably also be a few
showers and storms on the plains. Rainfall is expected to be
light.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Wednesday through Saturday...Fire Danger will
increase Wednesday into Thursday with warmer temperatures and low
relative humidities in the afternoon. At this time, the wind
appears to be strongest on Thursday, ahead of an approaching
Pacific storm system. This storm system will bring cooler
temperatures along with snow in the mountains and foothills, with
mainly rain across the northeast plains Thursday night and Friday.
Precipitation will diminish Friday night with warmer weather on
Saturday as a ridge of high pressure moves over the region.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
