Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
508 AM MDT Mon Sep 25 2017

.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...
Cool moist air remains over the plains today, with drier air over
areas west of the Front Range. There will be another area of
showers moving across the plains today. Amounts will generally be
light. Scattered showers will form over the mountains this
afternoon, especially north of Interstate 70. The showers will
diminish by early evening, and there will be clearing over the
mountains and possibly over the northern portion of the plains.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Tuesday through Friday...
On Tuesday, it will be drier but continued cool. Wednesday will be a
little warmer with a chance of showers mainly in the mountains. The
next upper level low pressure trough over the Great Basin will slowly
move east across the forecast area later in the week. This will result
in a better chance of showers and thunderstorms on Thursday and Friday.
Temperatures will slowly moderate through the week, getting closer
to normal by the end of the week.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
