Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
522 AM MDT Tue Jun 20 2017

.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...Hot air from a ridge over the
western U.S. will spread into eastern Colorado today. It will be
hot and dry, but winds will generally be light, with just a bit
of a breeze over the mountains. Isolated late afternoon and
evening thunderstorms could cause localized gusty winds with
little or no rain.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Wednesday through Saturday...
High pressure aloft will be over Arizona and New Mexico on
Wednesday with a light west to northwest flow aloft over Colorado.
It will continue to be hot and mainly dry on the plains, except a
slight chance of late day storms over the mountains and higher
terrain. A weak front on Thursday will bring slightly cooler
temperatures and a better chance for showers and thunderstorms. A
stronger front on Friday will continue the cooling trend on the
plains going into the weekend.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
