Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
514 AM MDT Thu Apr 27 2017

.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...A fast moving upper level
disturbance in northwest flow aloft will bring accumulating snow to
the mountains, with rain showers and a few thunderstorms spreading
across the plains today. Temperatures will be a little cooler with
higher humidity readings. Breezy northwest winds can be expected
during the late morning and afternoon hours. Smoke dispersion should
be good to excellent in all but the far eastern Colorado plains.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Friday through Monday...A late season storm
system will move over Colorado Friday night with an upper low moving
from the Four Corners area across northern New Mexico. A strong
surface cold front will move over the plains Friday evening with
northeast winds developing after that. Significant snowfall will be
possible over the foothills and the Palmer Divide through Saturday
morning. Cool and unsettled weather will continue through Monday as
moderate northwesterly flow aloft continues over the state.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
