Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
502 AM MDT Tue May 23 2017

.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...Drier but still cool weather
can be expected across the forecast area today. Breezy conditions
and moderate northerly flow aloft will result in very good to
excellent smoke dispersion late this morning into the afternoon.
Only isolated showers can be expected on the plains. A ridge of
high pressure building into the region will bring the drying.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Wednesday through Saturday...An upper
ridge will bring dry and warmer weather on Wednesday. A cold front
moving through on Thursday will bring a chance of showers and
storms to the plains and the east slopes of the Front Range
Thursday afternoon and evening. Cool northwest flow aloft will
continue Friday and Saturday as a weak storm system drops out of
southern Idaho and moves across the state.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
