Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
423 AM MDT Thu May 25 2017

.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...Moisture combined with a few weak
disturbances will produce scattered showers and thunderstorms this
afternoon and evening across the area. Some snow may occur above
10000 feet with a few inches of accumulation. Temperatures will be
closer to seasonal normals this afternoon.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Friday through Monday...It will be unsettled and cool Friday and
Saturday with afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms.
Saturday will be the coolest day as an upper level system passes
over the state. Temperatures will warm back to seasonal normals
Sunday and Monday as weak high pressure builds over the Great Basin
and flow aloft becomes northwesterly. Enough moisture and
instability will remain over Colorado to cause isolated showers and
thunderstorms each afternoon.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
