OCCASIONAL SNOW WILL CONTINUE OVER THE HIGHER MOUNTAINS OF
NORTHERN COLORADO THIS EVENING...WITH AREAS OF LIGHT SNOW IN
NORTH AND MIDDLE PARKS AND ALONG US 285 IN PARK COUNTY. SNOWFALL
RATES WILL BE UP TO A HALF INCH PER HOUR IN THE HEAVIER SNOW.
WINDS WILL BE WEST TO NORTHWEST AT 20 TO 30 MPH...WITH GUSTS IN
THE 50 MPH RANGE ABOVE TIMBERLINE AND ON THE EAST SLOPES OF THE
FRONT RANGE. THERE WILL BE CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW
IN OPEN AREAS.

PRONE AREAS IN THE FOOTHILLS.  DRIVERS OF HIGH PROFILE OR LIGHT
WEIGHT VEHICLES MAY WISH TO CONSIDER AVOIDING NORTH-SOUTH ROADS IN
AND NEAR THE FOOTHILLS INCLUDING THE PEAK TO PEAK
HIGHWAY. BE ALERT FOR SUDDEN STRONG CROSSWIND GUSTS. THERE WILL
ALSO BE AREAS OF BLOWING SNOW IN THE HIGHER FOOTHILLS.
