URGENT - FIRE WEATHER MESSAGE

Strong and gusty winds will continue in the foothills this
afternoon with some gusts to 50 mph. West winds will strengthen
across the northeast plains as well this afternoon. The gusty
winds combined with low relative humidity, dry fuels, and very
warm temperatures will result in critical fire danger.

...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM MST THIS EVENING
FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR THE FRONT RANGE FOOTHILLS
BELOW 7500 FEET...

* Affected Area...Fire Weather Zones 215 and 216.

* Timing...Fire Danger will remain high through 6 pm this evening
  with a gradual improvement thereafter.

* Winds...Southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* Relative Humidity...as low as 15 percent.

* Impacts...If a fire starts, it will be capable of spreading
  rapidly through grasses and brush due to the strong winds.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and very warm temperatures
will contribute to extreme fire behavior.

* Timing...The fire danger will increase this afternoon and
  continue into early this evening, with a gradual improvement
  thereafter.

* Winds...West 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph, strongest
  along the northern border.

* Relative Humidity...as low as 11 percent.

* Impacts...If a fire starts, it will be capable of spreading
  rapidly through grasses and brush due to the strong winds.
