EARLY TUESDAY WITH THE PASSAGE OF AN UPPER LEVEL HIGH PRESSURE
RIDGE. ALSO LOOK FOR WIND SPEEDS TO DECREASE CONSIDERABLY OVERNIGHT.
ON TUESDAY...THIS UPPER RIDGE MOVES EAST OF THE STATE ALLOWING A
WEAK WEATHER DISTURBANCE TO TRAVEL UP FROM THE DESERT SOUTHWEST
BRINGING ANOTHER CHANCE OF SNOW TO THE MOUNTAINS AND WESTERN VALLEYS
OF COLORADO BY LATE IN THE DAY. WHEREAS AREAS EAST OF THE MOUNTAINS
SHOULD REMAIN DRY. THE PASSAGE OF A SECOND WEATHER DISTURBANCE
TUESDAY NIGHT IS EXPECTED TO PRODUCE ANOTHER ROUND OF LIGHT SNOW IN
THE HIGH COUNTRY. AN EVEN STRONGER STORM SYSTEM ORGANIZING OVER THE
GREAT BASIN ON WEDNESDAY IS FORECAST TO MOVE ACROSS COLORADO LATE
WEDNESDAY INTO THURSDAY GIVING THE HIGH COUNTRY A GREATER CHANCE OF
ACCUMULATING SNOWFALL. THE HIGH PLAINS OF EASTERN COLORADO MAY ALSO
SEE SNOWFALL WITH THIS MID-WEEK STORM SYSTEM.
