URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...ANOTHER ROUND OF SNOW FOR THE HIGHER MOUNTAIN PASSES OF NORTH
CENTRAL COLORADO...

.A STORM SYSTEM WILL BE MOVING OVER COLORADO LATER THIS AFTERNOON
AND TONIGHT. PLAINS LOCATIONS WILL RECEIVE ANOTHER ROUND OF
RAINFALL...BUT IN THE MOUNTAINS THE AIRMASS WILL BE COLD ENOUGH
FOR SNOW TO FALL OVER THE HIGHEST PEAKS. OVERNIGHT...AS THE
AIRMASS COOLS...SNOW LEVELS WILL GRADUALLY DROP TO 10 THOUSAND
FEET OR LOWER. THE HEAVIEST SNOW FROM THIS STORM IS EXPECTED TO
FALL OVER NORTHERN PARK COUNTY AND LOCATIONS ABOVE 10500 FEET.

AFTERNOON TO 6 AM MDT FRIDAY...

* TIMING...RAIN AND SNOW SHOWERS WILL DEVELOP THIS AFTERNOON AND
  BECOME WIDESPREAD THIS EVENING AND OVERNIGHT.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...4 TO 8 INCHES BY FRIDAY MORNING...
  HEAVIEST OVER NORTHERN PARK COUNTY AND ELEVATIONS ABOVE 10500
  FEET.

* WIND/VISIBILITY...SOUTHEAST WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH.
  VISIBILITIES BELOW A HALF A MILE AT TIMES IN HEAVIER SNOW
  SHOWERS.

* IMPACTS...MOUNTAIN PASSES ABOVE 10500 FEET WILL BECOME
  SNOWPACKED AND SLUSHY.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW
MAY CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW COVERED ROADS
