URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...SPRING STORM STILL APPROACHING COLORADO TODAY...

.A SPRING STORM SYSTEM WILL BE MOVING INTO SOUTHEAST COLORADO
BY LATER THIS AFTERNOON. THE SLOW MOVEMENT AND WEAKER EVOLUTION OF
THIS STORM HAS DELAYED ANY SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL IN THE MOUNTAINS AND
FOOTHILLS DURING THE NIGHT.  EXPECT SNOWFALL TO INCREASE LATER
THIS MORNING AND CONTINUE THROUGH THIS EVENING. THE SNOW WILL
DIMINISH OVERNIGHT.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT MDT
TONIGHT...

* TIMING...SNOW WILL BECOME MODERATE TO HEAVY AT TIMES BY LATER
  THIS MORNING AND CONTINUE THROUGH THIS EVENING. THE HIGHER
  INTENSITY SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED TO OCCUR BY LATER THIS MORNING.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...ANYWHERE FROM 5 TO 10 INCHES WITH THE
  HIGHER AMOUNTS EAST OF THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE.

* WIND/VISIBILITY...WINDS WILL MOSTLY REMAIN LESS THAN 20 MPH.
  VISIBILITIES WILL DROP BELOW A HALF MILE AT TIMES IN THE
  HEAVIER SNOWFALL.

* IMPACTS...WET SNOW ACCUMULATING ON BRANCHES AND POWER LINES
  COULD LEAD TO TREE DAMAGE AND POWER OUTAGES. ROADS MAY BECOME
  SLUSHY OR SNOW COVERED DURING THE NIGHTTIME HOURS.
  ACCUMULATION ON ROADS AND HIGHWAYS WILL BE LOWER DURING THE
  DAYLIGHT HOURS DUE TO THE HIGHER SUN ANGLE AT THIS TIME OF
  YEAR.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT SNOW ACCUMULATION...POOR
VISIBILITIES IN HEAVY SNOWFALL AND POOR WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS
ARE EXPECTED. HIGH COUNTRY TRAVEL IS LIKELY TO BE IMPACTED BY
THIS STORM.

  SNOWFALL.

* IMPACTS...WET HEAVY SNOW ACCUMULATING ON BRANCHES AND POWER
  LINES COULD LEAD TO TREE DAMAGE AND POWER OUTAGES. ROADS MAY
  BECOME SLUSHY AND POSSIBLY SNOW COVERED DURING THE DAY AND THIS
  EVENING.  DUE TO THE HIGHER SUN ANGLE THIS TIME OF YEAR ROADS
  AND HIGHWAYS MAY NOT SEE MUCH IF ANY SNOW ACCUMULATION DURING
  THE DAYLIGHT HOURS ON FRIDAY.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW
WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW
COVERED ROADS OVERNIGHT AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES. SLOW DOWN AND
USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.
