Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
314 PM MDT Tue May 23 2017

.Discussion...

Northerly flow aloft across the region this evening will moderate
and become more west to northwest through the day on Wednesday, as
upper level ridging builds across the Rockies. Expect much less
wind, dry conditions and warmer temperatures on Wednesday, with
readings warming back to at or slightly above seasonal levels.

Cooler and more unsettled weather will develop across the area from
late week into the upcoming Memorial Day Weekend, as a broad upper
trough slowly works its way across the Rockies. This will allow for
daily chances of showers and thunderstorms, along with some higher
elevation snow showers, as temperatures cool back to below
seasonal averages later in the weekend.

Good or better afternoon smoke dispersion is expected across most
of the region Wednesday, though portions of the lower Arkansas Valley
from Pueblo eastward may only reach the fair category. On Thursday,
dispersion will reach excellent levels across the entire region.
