Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
804 PM MST Sun Jan 21 2018

.Discussion...

Winter storm system will move east into Kansas this evening, pulling
the snow east with it. High pressure will rebuild over the
district Monday for a return to mild and dry weather most
of next week. A new weather system could impact the district
Friday and Saturday. Right now, it looks like the track of the
storm could bring enough wind to the lower elevations for some fire
weather concerns Thursday and/or Friday. Any precip potential
with the storm looks to be confined primarily to the central
and northern Colorado mountain areas. However, it is still early.
The storm track could change.

Afternoon ventilation will generally be good or better most areas
of the district on Monday. On Tuesday, rates will still be good
or better over most of the mountain areas but the plains and San
Luis Valley will see only poor to fair ventilation.
